And yet the stock auto and the stock manual are nearly identical in the quarter mile. Edge goes to the manual by an average of .1 sec.
However, with approximately 30 hp more due to drivetrain loss, and the original 26 hp more from the true LS3 start. That's about 55 more horse power for the manual car and yet the differnce in the quarter mile is only .1 second. And 0-60 mph the auto is actually .1 second faster.
The difference is gearing. So while Chris had 80 more rwhp than me (he has 550 to my 471), he never got more than 2 car lengths behind me. And we ran nearly identicaly after the first 60 feet. He did real me in half a car length or so. Which would actually be about the .1 originaly. But same power, and the auto will win most of the time. If he had the same 550 rwhp but an auto tranny, he'd have beat me.
