[Camaro8810]

the officer says to me..."how are you? Well I pulled you over because this is a beautiful car, but it's missing something". I of course respond "what's that sir?"

He says "it's missing a front license plate".

I figure well he seems like a cool guy/cop, be honest with the man.

"well sir to be completely honest with you my plate is in my trunk. I know that's not the place for it but I just can't bring myself to drilling holes in my front bumper to mount the plate."

He takes my info and comes back 5 mins later. "well you have a nice holiday weekend. You have a beautiful car. Be safe. Oh and by the way if you don't speed you wouldn't need that radar detector...right?"

"Yes sir"

....and I was on my way.
