What's up with the zig-zag antenna?

Here's mine:

I need to do some work to get it up and running. Over the winter, some varmints nested in the battery bay and feasted on the ECM wires.

But it's a fun car, and may see more driving time with $4 gas.

I'd like to do an engine swap. I could do a 5.3 LS4 pretty easily (with the FWD tranny out of an Impala, Monte Carlo, or GRand Prix). But I also like the turbo motor out of the new Buick CXL. Still exploring options.
