Unfortunately, I think this ^^^ is self-evident.
When I was teaching freshman physics labs at the uni, I got called into the Chair's office one day and was asked to stop marking spelling/grammar/structure/etc. (marking but not taking off points, mind you) on lab reports because students were complaining that they shouldn't
have write effectively anywhere outside of an English class.
Personally, I think that's sad.
I also think that's a pretty creative assignment (but I wouldn't use Spike's opening because Oedipus & Hamlet seem to have gotten mixed up there...)
EDIT: I recommend taking Opelia's POV as she is floating downstream. Tremendous possibilities! Or maybe go with Yorick (the POV of a skull pulled from a freshly dug grave would be interesting.)
