I heard it with my own ears, so I am my source. But anyone else who's seen Bumblebee or a concept at an auto show can back me up. The product specialists in charge of these cars have been stating that "The coupe will be released in the 1st quarter of 2009, with the convertible to follow 6 months later."
Granted, anything that anyone says about a timeline is subject to change, but that is what the plan was as of November 3rd when I was at the Seattle Auto Show.
