(IMO) and if we are following the rules of auto making, then why are they waiting till Jan to release it and why are they supposedly calling it a 2010 model being? the rules of auto making would say that you make the new model in Sept and release it in Oct. LIKE THEY (every major auto maker) ALWAYS HAVE.
I just dont see them waiting till Jan to release the car. i believe strongly that, like every other car, it will be released in the fall of the year (2008) and like they (scott & bob) have said, the VERT will be available as a 2010 model

There are plenty of reasons to not release the Camaro at the same time as
every other new car out there. Releasing the Camaro in 1st quarter of '09 will automatically make them the biggest automotive headlines. Also, if they want to take a few more months to ensure that this car is the best that it possibly can be, you won't hear a single grumble or complaint coming from my lips.
As for the vert being a 2010 model, they both will be. It has been stated as
Fact that the coupe will be released in the 1st quarter of 2009 as a 2010 model. GM employees (not Scott, Bob, or John) have said that the vert will follow 6 months after the coupe, which puts it right around September of 2009.
It will all work out.
