Um....uh-oh?

Ford showed a new flagship sedan for its Lincoln line, the MKS. During the keynote speech at a press breakfast, Alan Mulally, Ford’s president, outlined a “blueprint for sustainability” initiative that Ford is undertaking between now and 2020. Over the next three years, he said, Ford will begin cutting engine sizes and using turbochargers and direct fuel injection to improve power and economy. Then, from 2012 to 2020, Ford plans to put its cars on diets that will trim 250 to 750 pounds. Beyond that, he said Ford would aggressively pursue plug-in electric and fuel-cell technologies.
