first thing I ever drove was a John Deere . Inline 3 cyl diesel with an 8 speed. I was about 12, I can remember when my dad let me shift it to 2nd for the first time.... felt like I was hauling butt.... just looked it up, 2nd gear tops out at 1.2mph
