I say move, it sounds like it would be beneficial for you both financially and Myrtle beach is an awesome town. If she was watching the kids daily so the parents didn't have to pay for child care or something and were depending on her then I might think otherwise but like you said it isn't that far away to visit. I say move and enjoy your retirement!
