The first 'real' vehicle I drove was my dad's old truck (don't remember what it was) when I was 13. It was a stickshift... and I did poorly. No power steering or power braking, so it was a lot of work just to drive. It was the only time I ever drove the truck, and I remember towards the end of the experience I passed our destination and my dad told me to do a u-turn to head back (we were out in the countryside with no traffic), but I ended up doing a full 360, pulled over to the side of the road, and switched places with my dad.
A few years later, I learned how to drive in my parents' Suburban, before finally purchasing my '95 Camaro
