I think it is a drivers race as long as we are talking about the Manual SS and not the auto. I think the stang has a slight advantage but not all stangs. Mine with its 3.31s is probably slower in a drag race (while faster on a road course ((boss front valence, rear Shelby GT 500 diffuser) giving the SS manual the advantage. There are so many variations of these cars and variations of what can happen it truely is a drivers race.

I do happen to think the Mustang is the better over all car (build quality, available options, handling, driver view, resale value, interior, sound, 26-27mpg, 10,000 mile oil change interval, available nav, larger trunk, M3 like road course performance etc etc.) but anyone who just comes into the Camaro5 forum saying stupid fan boi crap about how all 5.0s murder Camaro SSs deserves to be slapped frankly.

i think the fastest 5.0's to date have been 3.31 geared. While the 5.0 has a clear and definate advantage, on average its still a close race. there has been maybe half a handful of posts (or less) saying anything remotely close to "all 5.0s murder Camaro SSs"
