Don't want to step on religions but giving is part of most all religions and is part of being a good neighbor to those in need.

Yep and we are Roman Catholic and we give every week to the church. Once a month I give 100.00 or so to the food pantry and we give monthly to Catholic charties.
I myself believe in my faith and also some in karma. I think people doing good deads in life will have some good brought back to them. Why my baby girl is sick has made me question my faith lately, but I still have it and pray daily to the lord that he will make her well again.
The thing about all this is Steph was always kind of the trouble child in the household. The one that would talk back, do things you did not want her to do and just make alot of messes. Now that she has been hit with the cancer, her room is still messy. But she never talks back and is the best little girl you could ask for. I wonder alot what is going on in her mind and maybe realizing she may see the lord before planned has made her see things she did wrong in the past and is trying to make them right. I do not know, but it has brought the two of us alot closer than we have been in 5-6 years.
I just want to live to be at leat 76 and I want my Steph to be alive with me until my time to be with the lord.
