We tried to have a political forum months ago and it seemed like the members were mature enough to respecfully discuss things. But it didn't work out. The discussions turned into debates which turned into flaming, and there was too much spill over into the other sections. The moderators didn't have enough time to baby sit the political forum, moderate the rest of the site, and enjoy our time here. I would
like to talk politics here (I have a slightly different leaning than most of you) and other mods would have liked to join in as well. But the fact is, it was abused by some people and now its gone for everyone.
Well that and I'm Canadian so I try to be un-American
