A couple years ago I got rear ended at a light. Just a light bang to the hitch on my truck. I get out, and this lady steps out of her SUV and pops her heals on. So, you were driving barefoot? She then explained how she couldn't drive with her heals, so took them off and said the brake pedal was a bit slippery in her nylons.  End result was she got an at-fault accident ticket.

She got the at fault ticket because she rear ended you. I agree it isn't smart to not wear shoes but, no law against it.
