The Mustang and Camaro convertibles are very comparable in price. They start in the mid-30s, and well optioned, both easily go into the 40s.
Yes, this is a lot, but cars in general are getting more expensive. It's called inflation, and it does in fact exist despite the "official" statistics. Keep in mind that we are living in a world where well optioned Cruzes or Focuses (Foci?) are approaching $30k.
