People get banned from such establishments for acting out of line, just as people get banned from here for doing the same in the eyes of the managers or moderators.

In doing so, it's this site's responsibility to make sure those companies aren't promoting a juvenile website that makes those companies look bad. This is just merely one side of the picture, but it is something that has to be watched.
Sure, members could chip in and support the site, but it's far easier and much more beneficial for us all when you can get companies like Edelbrock, GM, etc to help out.
I can say from past experience that some members do get preferential treatment. If you have a guy who helps out all over the site, and some moron starts a fight with him, yeah....you'll probably let him trash the punk. Still, I think what most people want is a level playing field. If I'm out of line, I don't mind being tapped on the shoulder and told to chill....however, don't let the other guy off the hook either.
In the past, I would always try to keep it public, so that the site saw what was being done, and why. I wasn't always able to do so, but it was something I did try to do.
Compared to other sites I've been on, this is still one of the best in terms of moderators and members.

I agree with this. I know my 14 year old daughter posts on here, and I DO NOT want her stubbling onto dirty threads and so and so.

I guess this thread will simply serve as a reminder that we, in fact, can't make everyone happy.
Sux to be me I guess...

GTAHVIT, I think you and all the rest of the Mod Squad do a great job of keep this site clean and family friendly.

They dont. Ive seen some people that the moderators really liked get banned.

Well, this is Camaro5 suggestions.. So it belongs into the Camaro5 suggections forum...
I would like a list of all the members that have special rights that way I know who I can't mess with on here and who I have to bow down too.

Thank you C5 moderators for your hard work. I decided not to vote because regardless of what I think, you have worked hard to cultivate the kind of community you want.
If anything, this topic highlights the limits of digital communication. There is so much of face-to-face communication which is not translated into text. It makes me think of that one alien race in Mass Effect that prefaced sentences with a mood statement to ensure their point was made.
Excited postulation: It would be much easier for people to understand what is intended if they prefaced with some sort of mood statement. Dissapointed admission: Most people probably would complain that the method wasn't fast enough.
Deferential gratitude: Thanks again C5 moderators, and keep up the hard work!
