Nissan has done a good job of conveying the history of this name... that it has NEVER been a joke. It's always been a serious car. I just got my new issue of MotorTrend with the GT-R on the cover, and it ran the 1/4 in 11.7 at 149mph!!! That is o-my-god-I-crapped-a-little fast! Unbelievable.

It's a great car that will shame almost anything currently on the road (though I'm sure Porsche is readying a nice big bag of whoop-a$$ right now).

I doubt a faster car will come along (for the money) for quite some time.

EDIT: YEP.. 149 looks like BS... not even the Bugatti Veyron can hit that trap speed! It only manages 139mph...
