You are correct .. should be about an 8 - 9k difference from a 2SS/RS (manual).. I mean at that point the options you have are body kits, sunroof, 21 inch wheels etc.. which would drive the price up.
Regardless ... it is a much smaller difference than this comparison or even the Z06/GT500 comparison..
Like I say .. we shouldn't even be arguing !! .. It is a HELL of a great time for us car folks right now !!!
