Well, went to the gun show today hunting for a Rock Island 1911. After finding two different places both selling them for a minimum of $475 (for the base model) I was getting a bit discouraged. Walked by a third area that had the Rock Island 1911s, looked at the price tag: $375!!! we have a winner! Here's my prize
Planning on at least getting some new grips and a beavertail for it down the road. A buddy and I are going to try to get out to the range early next week to see how she fires, can't wait!!
