And pulling 1G is certainly possible with a solid rear axle..................doesn't mean the car can handle though. IRS will give you flexibilty that the solid axle can't. Don't get me wrong, GT500 is a sweet car, as is the 5.0. Openly admitted. Just don't come in saying solid rear axle is as good. Can you imagine how good the Mustang could be with an IRS? I can. I also know how much more it would cost and weigh.
It's just fun because these comparisons just create good discusion and debate. Just pointing out you aren't comparing the GT500 to the car GM would put in that category. Which now begs the question why the GT500 guys aren't just saying, "hey!! almost as good as a Z06 but at a $20,000 price advantage." Now you'd have a good discussion.

So based on that and you working for GM IF the ZL1 has 550 HP GM would benchmark a ZO6? Wow should be a heck of a car. I guess if it has 600hp GM will have it smoking a ZO6 and running with the ZR1. Or do you think price point is a better way of comparing cars rather than HP?
