I just got caught up reading this thread.

Here's where I'm at; I think its very important to see who will be king of the hill between GM and Ford.

BUT - consider this...

Since the price tag on these two will be 40k,50k,maybe some even breaching 60k with options, they are getting close to another car with less HP than both (by a fair margin - 70hp +/-)

I'm talking about none other than the revamped Nissan R35 GT-R. New for the 2012 model year, hp has increased to 530 hp.

Now, we have intelligent people from both Ford and Chevy (and Mopar) camps on this thread....

...How do you see these king pony cars competing with Japan's Godzilla? At $88,000, the new GT-R is going to compete with the same perspective buyers as these GT500's, ZL1's, etc

Neither the current SS or GT500 can compete with the 480hp variant GT-R...

We're debating on this civil war story, but what about a foreign made car coming over here and cleaning up?

I really hope my topic is not off-topic too much, but I figured it can play since I'm comparing it to the Chevy and Ford...

Unfortunately (or fortunately, if you like Nissans), I feel the GT-R will be superior to either pony car, but I would like to see some insight to how my idea is wrong
