BTW....Other than taking guitar lessons from someone... what do you think is a good way to learn the guitar? Anything I can buy, etc? I have a month off coming up and I'm not going anywhere on travel.. So I would love to spend a good chunk trying to tackle the guitar! Also I like bands like AC/DC, Audioslave, Nickelback.. so I wanna learn how to play there music.... although I'm sure its gunna take years before i get there. Any suggestions?

Yamaha Pacifica is a good start...
1st thing is to get comfy with your instrument (Giggity)... there are alot of books around.. go to your local music shop and ask them what book they recommend for a beginner (don't worry they won't laugh).. if i was you i'd get to grips with Chords first and practice changing between them, then on to scales... once you've got those down you'll be laughing.
Alot of the learning materials will be TAB based... this is really simple to learn.... just remember to take small bits and practice them alot and you'll progress quickly.
