A group is being formed for oversight of the auto industry. The political leanings of the president (and your opinion of said leaning) have little to do with that fact. Similarly, slippery slope/snowballed 'and eventually we will be . . . ' scenarios are based upon political opinion and have minimal relevance to the topic at hand.

I guess I am too pationate about some things that are happening to my country. This is unprecedented territory. I get too 'meat and potatoes' about them. lol
I have read all of the rules and try my best to follow them. And I
DO respect them, please don't think that I don't. This isn't the place for politics I agree. It's just so unfortunate that politics have become almost synonymous with the auto industry. When was the last time that an 'oversight panel' was apointed to 'monitor' a 'radical restructuring' of the auto industry? Or any industry, with favorable results? Would the stance that, 'The EPA shouldn't be involved in this', be considered taboo? A statement that "we are going to a socialistic form" I understand is couter to what you just said I agree and I appologise, really. But a statement that "This IS a socialist way to do this" is a fact if you look it up. I respectfuly agree to disagree with the part I highlighted. It's like saying Camaro is offering Black, White and Silver. But you can only talk in depth about Silver.
I'm not arguing with you guys. (mods) I appreciate what you guys do in providing us with this awesome forum. This is the first time I have ever done something like this so I didn't even know if I was welcome because I didn't really have anything to tell anyone about but only used the forum to get info and talk to people who are as geeked about the 5th gen as I am. You guys really made me feel welcome. Maybe too welcome. I will DO my best to comply in the future. I come from a place where silence is agreement. But I understand now that this isn't the place for that. If I offended anyone I'm sorry.
This forum rocks. Oh and thank you for reffering to me as PQ. That's what they called me when I was in the military and it was my CB handle for years when I was driving a truck.
