What i meant by equals is that they are in the same class and have the same quality. never did i mention speed.
but hey if you really wanna go there i will. lets take the v6 for example. im march the v6 camaro will beat my mustang v6 yes. but in 2011 when the ecoboost v6 goes into the v6 mustang at 355hp. the mustang will be faster.
its a constant one-upsmanship. so really you cant base equality on speed.

Yes it does matter what car is faster out of factory because it show what company is willing to go that extra step to give their loyals the stuff they want.
By saying they are equals you are suggesting they are the same car by different companies.
In my opinion the Camaro was made for competition and the Mustang is more of a family car. That's why the Camaro has always appealed more to entusiasts and sold less.
And how can you say that the Mustang will be faster than the Camaro when you still don't know what the Camaro will have in 2011.
