Hello All, Yes I know today is Saturday but I got home very late last night from viewing Mr. Hide.
It was a very long day. I went to pick up my boat from service. The trolling motor had to br replaced, transducer ws bad

Then they told me all five tires on my trailer were replaced because they were bad

they looked like they were dry rotted after a total of 8 months, and of course it wasn't ready when I arrived to pick it up. So to say my afternoon started off great would be putting it lightly.
So I finally get my boat loaded up and start the hour drive to the shop to check on Mr. Hide, my cell battery was quickly losing charge so just another thing but Hey things are looking up cause Mr Hide should have lots done when I get there so all will not be lost.
WELL I walk into the shop and I immediately notice the place is alot cleaner and alot more room. This shop is divided into 3 sections, anyway the more I get in I see my truck and to my surprise it is in pieces

WHAT IN PIECES, doors are off, fenders are off, bed is off in pieces, hood cowls front and rear bumper etc... the only thing on the frame is the cab, inner fenders and hood. Every other piece is on stands on each side of the truck, some look shiny some don't. Now I am totally confused thinking this must be some joke, and no one is in this section of the shop. There are other people there but they will not come into the section where my truck is in. I ask them, in a not so polite way, what is going on and they tell me I will have to see the " Boss"
The owner comes out of the bathroom and looks like he hasn't slept in days. At this point I am 45 hot so before I can get the words out of my mouth he says let me explain.
Evidentially he had 4 people working on this truck trying to make the deadline of Feb 28, basically 2 on the motor and 2 on the rest. The wonderful motor guys somehow forgot to take off their belts and left nice little SCRATCHES in the front fenders, which connect to the doors which connect to the bed etc... so to make a long story short he was going to wet sand down the front fenders and re-shoot them with clear, then re-buff them.
Because of all the BS that I have been through with this truck he wanted the whole truck re-cleared and re-buffed to ensure that it all matches. So I am like yeah right nice story but I do not believe it.
So I spend the better part of an hour going through all the pictures he took before he took it apart, basically all they had left to do was bolt in the seats and install the door panels and it was done besides some clean up. They were waiting on the door panels so the knew exactly where to install the mirrors and the would have access to the inside of the door.
The plan was for them to spend the weekend making sure all the mechanical things were good, no leaks etc getting it tuned and things like that.
Well that has been put on hold. From the best I can tell everyone but 2 people have been banned from that area of the shop. They are spending this weekend re-clearing the rest of what needs to be cleared, while the other one starts putting on what has been cleared and buffed.
I was told last night that he could have it done Monday no matter what but that he was afraid that if he rushed it at this point that once I got it home, washed it that I would quickly bring it back, especially if I got it out on a nice sunny day like today.
So the new plan is for next Friday for him to be where he was supposed to be at this Friday and then he will need a few days to make sure the mechaincal stuff is good.
The saga continues.
