Sorry to inform you but you are 100% mistaken. There is NO SUCH THING as a Z06 Convertible. What you are seeing is corvette convertibles that have had the wide-body Z06 parts put on, basically fenders and nose that has the opening in front of the hood. As a Z06 owner I am ok with other corvette owners doing that, but badging them as Z06's is plain wrong and is counterfeiting IMHO.
Z51 is a suspension upgrade that is available on standard corvettes, not available on the Z06. Corvette owners that have the Z51 package have taken enough pride in that option to start cadging and referring to their cars as Z51 Corvettes.
Anyone who tells you they have a convertible Z06, unless they chopped the top off themselves is a liar and is full of ....well you know what.
Regarding the video, it did not look like a convertible but had some of the key features of a Z06, like the opening in front of the hood and wide body fenders. If that was a Z06, the driver must have been really terrible, not trying or sleeping. No times were listed, and if the 2 cars were stock, there is no way that Mustang would beat it.
