Perry's new benchmark was itself bested inside the same month by Corporal Robert Furlong, from the 3rd Battalion of Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry (PPCLI). Using another McMillan Tac-50 Furlong engaged an insurgent at 2,430 meters.
