I have a son, car and house payment among other things and $80 a month isn't nearly enough to make me bat an eye. If it did then I would just cut back on unessecary things I like to spend my money on and make do. Do I like the fact that gas prices are raising? No, but it's a fact of life and I deal with it the best I can. No sense getting up in arms and acting like the sky is falling as some people do.
Everyone is different though, and we are all entitled to our own feelings on the subject. I'm sure there will be those that agree with me and those that don't.

Good point check out the historical prices vs. inflation. We did pay historical highs adjusted in 08 but not much more than 1980. I miss the $.79 gallon gas also but it will likely swing more affordable again sometime soon, but probably not to that extent ever again.
