Things happen that can't be seen in the future. You can't live your life playing it safe all the time and only caring about yourself. Well at least most people can't.

Your correct I am looking at this in a very black and white fashion and by no means do a suggest that having a wife and kids automatically makes you failure if you have bills. The problem today is that almost nobody young does anything to prepare for the bills they will incur later in life. Its depressing seeing people my age still working cashier lines at Wal-Mart or at the gas station when I know they have kids to pay for. It makes me question what these people have done to advance themselves in life, the answer is usually nothing. Very few people my age prepare for the future anymore. They always expect things will fall in their lap and others will pay their way. So its no wonder when so many of these people start to panic about gas prices increase, they should've done something in advance about it like sticking to a career path.
