Wasn't sound so much as smell: My dog dragging a dead baby skunk in through the dog door, playing with it in the living room at 3 am... worst "smellarm clock" ever.
I tell people if they come to my house in the middle of the night, do NOT try to be quiet, in fact, sing God Bless America very loudly so I know not to shoot you.
