the first semi-automatic pistol I ever shot was a Kimber 1911 (coming from revolvers). I hate Kimber quit making the SIS line.... I'd really like a full size one of those with the rail. If and when I get a 1911, its going to be a full sized one with either a 4" or 5" barrel. There's a lot of other stuff that I think would be better (and lighter) for carry.
