I don't know, i think the NFL could be run with no owners. Or perhaps have the fans own the teams. Like the Packers. Just hire a board of directors to take care of the stadium, travels, etc.
In a perfect world maybe. But it is a private business.

Yes, it's entertainment which is very much like a service based business.

It's my distain for unions that drive my feelings. Unions once had a place and were a good thing. NOT anymore. At least not the way they do now.

And, yes, it's the high priced guys who are imo not worth the money. Most players make much smaller salaries. Hell, let the greedy ass Mannings and Bradies of the league take the cuts. BUT. I go back to principle. The owners should be able to pay the players peanuts if they want. Nobody forces them to play. If the product suffers, the consumer goes away. So the owners have to keep the product up. It's a balance. It's a healthy balance that maintains and regulates it's self. And when you disrupt that balance (unionize) it gets all screwed up.
