i guess i look at it like the entertainment industry. Which it essentially is. Would you really want to see nothing but b and c actors all the time? Granted they don't really have owners, but the production companies pay the good actors the big bucks.
I think your hate for the players stems from the high profile players. And they are really in the minority.
I don't know, i think the NFL could be run with no owners. Or perhaps have the fans own the teams. Like the Packers. Just hire a board of directors to take care of the stadium, travels, etc.
