If she's high maintenance now you should back off, if she isn't, well you certainly don't want her to be. That's not to say she would or could be but if you pamper to much early you may regret it.

If she ever asks why you love her you say "because you love me".
If she gets upset at a card that you write in and dinner then get rid of her. You don't need that. You'll have plenty of time to do some really cool things for her down the road.
irpq11 is right on track! Just keep it simple.

I will tell you a funny story about an old guy I used to help. He was a widower in his 60's, (but looked 15-20 years younger). Anyway, this guy would break up with his lady friends / fiancees every year just before Christmas, and not smooth things over with 'em until a couple of weeks or so after Valentine's Day (unless their birthday's were coming up, in which case it would be two or three weeks after that). He was one of the coolest guys I've ever met, and so damn funny too. Every year I'd get all over him telling him that you just can't do things like that. He'd always say something like, "sonny boy, you've got alot to learn." Anyway, he owned a jewelry store...and doing what he did, he saved more money than I could even begin to tell you. The bottom line is, if the chick is in to you, then she's in to you. If she's real materialistic, then RUN, don't walk, but RUN away, and don't look back.

In any case, ask her what all she want's option wise on your new Camaro. If it's also what you want, then tell her that will be her present. (That's what that old boy would have told me if I was asking him.)
