a lot depends on where your using it and distances.... as you know, a shotgun has a limited range. A rifle is really not practical inside or in close quarters. Where I live, its heavily wooded and there's not a real long range shot I'd could take (50-60 yards max). I'd say keep the SKS unless you have to sell it... if they do put restrictions on them someday.... you already got one and don't have to worry about the hassles of buying another one
The 500/590/930 have a ton of accessories.... everything from flashlights, night/fiber optic sights, to even bayonets
