Can somebody please help me understand why the manufactuer is even relevant in NASCAR anymore, other than providing material/financial support to the race teams?
I can see where there would be bragging rights in the olds days when they actually drove "stock" cars, but today all of the cars are regulted so heavily there is virtually no difference between a car powered by Ford, Chevy or Toyota. It comes down to the driver, crews an even a little luck, some days, to determine a winner.
Congratulations definitely need to go out to Harvick and his team, for sure, but giving props to Chevrolet for the win is weak, IMHO.
