I hear ya. I used to have a bone stock LS2 Corvette and I could not get some people to grasp why my slightly modified LS3 Camaro was slower... "but... Doesnt your Camaro have like 70 more HP???".
I actually calculated it all out for one guy... Got really carried away using weight, gearing, coefficient of drag... in the end it came out that a stock Camaro would need like 100 more HP to be a theoretical equal to the Vette which I don't have. I tried telling him not to get caught up in the numbers... it's a whole pkg. He didn't get it! Some ppl are only concerned about peak HP. Me, I'm more after torque. I don't care how "fast" a car is... it's how QUICK it gets there!!!
