Well, it was bound to happen living out here in the stix for the last 7 years. 45 minutes ago, I got my first deer road kill. Little misty out, and was only 1/2 mile from the house. Friggin thing jumped out from behind some trees and POW! Got him with the passenger side front bumper/headlight.

Looks a bit worse than it is. Truck fared far better than the deer, though. Luckily it was a southern deer. They're a lot smaller than the ones up north. I'd probably have eaten the air bag if that was the case.

Still got his fur in the fog light. Still driveable. Wheels are turned in the pic, so it looks weird, but it doesn't LOOK that bad. We'll see tomorrow.
