I don't see this as a BMW 3 series fighter, even if the comparison was made with the steering. It just isn't the same kind of car. The 3 series is a much smaller sedan and coupe. If anything it would go against the larger, more appropriately sized BMW 5 series.
To me this seems to be direct competition to cars like the Charger, 300C, and other larger sedans.
A GXP version would be perfect competition for a SRT-8.
