Sh*t - here comes that headache again No, they are not thermally efficient which is what hurts the fuel mileage. This means they tend to lose thermal expansion during the power stroke and is why there are 2 plugs per chamber (to ignite the mix about 20 degrees apart). Everyone tried to label them 6-cyl's to make them race in higher HP classes cuz they were kicking everyone's ass elsewhere... When that failed, they handicapped them with more and more weight til they couldn't compete...



I really think these are great animations. I couldn't wrap my mind around how a rotary works, and I'm closer than I have ever been now, so thanks
