this was the cover story in the new issue of AutoWeek. called the IS-F, it is based on the Lexus IS350 rear drive sedan it has the same V8 engine (with a bit more oomph) as in the big LS460. rated at 416hp hooked to a
8 speed auto with paddle shifters. it should do well against the the 400hp V8 powered M3. Toyota tried this in the past when the first IS came out which originally had the same inline six that was in the Lexus SC300 coupe and the Toyota Supra. a Toyota tuner put in the V8 from the the LS430 into the IS car. but it was never produced, only built as a 'what if?' idea. the new car looks slick as hell, I know I wouldn't mind one
