I think the HHR is the nicest looking one out of what I'd consider GM's Corolla competitors-

Pontiac G5
Saturn Astra (Forthcoming)
The Aveo is a bit smaller than the Corolla, and I doubt you'll like it any more than the Corolla. The Aveo is a Yaris competitor...
