Time to leave the dark side?
I've driven a Toyota Corolla for about a year and a half now (first an '03, now an '07) and I've never like the F-eign thing. I only got the car because I know it gets good gas milage and that Toyota's are known for keeping their value fairly well. As it's always been my intention to trade it in when/before the warranty runs out, this latter issue is key. After reading all the posts here about how American cars are now just as good as foreign ones, I've decided to put a question to all you GM enthusiasts. What is GM's version of the Corolla?
Meaning, if I were to trade in my Corolla for a GM car, what would be the closest match. Important factors are: fuel efficiency, dependability, low depreciation, and ease of maintenance.
As I mentioned before, I don't like my Corolla. I don't like the style, exterior or interior, so I'm not looking for something that looks similar.
My girlfriend does like this car, so I need a good case in order to convince her that we should trade in the car we just got 8 months ago and have had no problems with. Other than the missing hubcap which Toyota wants $90 to replace (yes 90 freaking dollars for one hub cap!).
P.S. I just bought a Chevy "Built for performance, Engineered for Excitement" shirt, and I don't even own a Chevy! Help me out here guys.
