Perhaps you are right.
I just know I've never seen parts quite that high. NOt double. Typicaly I've always noticed parts about 20% cheaper. This was a shocker.
And My Chevy dealer, Lexus, and the Suzuki dealer we used to go to would check and test at no charge.
Guess I just went to a really shity dealer.
I gotta replace ALL my ball joints. I know this becuase they made me sign a waiver saying I understood the vehicle was unsafe to drive. You know how many little old women would have freaked out and had the work done immediately?
