I've been there as well. Unemployed for two years from my profession during the .com bust. I worked in a grocery store, as a security guard, cleaned swimming pools, anything I had to do to make ends meet.
I finally got back into my profession and started over. Moved to a new state and I'm just now recovered financially to the point I was 10 years ago.
Sometimes it's a hard road but we live in the greatest country on earth and there's always an opportunity for someone willing to work.
You'll make it through. I'm sure of it.
