It seems to me they're going to market the Sonic as a fun, sporty little car while the Cruze has already been marketed as a much more refined and comfortable Compact.
Would make sense to keep all the same engines in a respectably smaller package...in addition to the Corvette-tuned suspension, it'll have a good deal of giddy-up, too!!
