You my friend will have your hands full for the first year plus. I agree that any breeder should not separate it's litter from the mother for a minimum of 8 weeks. Worming is done in two doses prior to 8 weeks. See a vet - yes, visits are expensive. Shots being at 6-9 weeks with rabies at 12 weeks. Be responsible, spay or neuter at 6 months.

Absolutely crate train your dog. Your pup is ready to take outside for housetraining around 5 wks. Always reward her/him for every little accomplishment performed. Now is also the time for simple commands, "sit" (with the help of a small snack), etc.

Raising a pup is a lot of work (just like raising a child). This little one will need taken outside 6+ times a day.

I also agree with two small meals twice a day (with quality puppy food) and water only.

There are lots of invaluable pieces of information on the internet, please read and learn - you will have a happy, healthier puppy.
