Easy, Austin Texas!!! Texas is a Center/conservative State, the recessions didn't really hit texas as hard as other places. Its the home of many tech companys, Dell, Motorolla etc... Heck I think Austin is working on building a childrens hosptial right now, Austin right up your alley.

Edit: A friend of mine is in architecture too lol. I think he designs roads and drains or something not sure.
