You need water to burn fat. The kidneys main job is to flush out toxins in the body. When dehydrated the body will hold on to all the water it can, without water the kidneys don't work so the liver kicks in to help. When the liver is taking up the slack of your kidneys flushing toxins it can't do it's job of burning stored fat as energy. High protein diets need more water than normal. Why should your water be cold. A calorie is a measurement of heat energy. Technically a calorie is the amount of heat required to raise 1 litre of water i deg centigrade Drinking ice cold water requires additional calorie's to raise the body's core temperature back to normal so colder water burns more calories than warmer water. Everyone should drink a minimum of about 10 glasses of water a day just for regular health, fat loss and training require much more. Also when your stomach is full of water you feel fuller.
