Pack hierarchy is one thing, a jealous dog is another. The dog is used to living with you alone, if she takes the appeasement route he will own here. What happens when he wants his way and she cant appease him?
I have a non submissive breed... it's all about you setting the tone. He needs to know when he is stepping out of line, you don't do that be rewarding bad behavior.
Dogs act up when their needs arent being met. I would give him more attention, take him for walks and play with him. Take her wihjt you and him for walks, have her feed him and then walk him alone.
Just giving him gifts will reaffirm in his mind he is being good .. so unless you correct the problem first then your only making it worse
